About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT intends to enter into a single source contract with Leica Geosystems for the purchase of one (1) Leica DSW700 W/V29 Camera/Scanner and Windows 10 Workstation. The scanner will be used daily to digitize FDOT's aerial film collection. The intended source is Leica Geosystems, and the estimated dollar amount for the purchase is $59,770.00. FDOT has justified the single source acquisition as Leica Geosystems is the only vendor that can provide the necessary scanners without voiding the warranty, as they are the sole provider and maintainer of the specialized analog film scanners.
The contract will be for a one (1) year term from the date of delivery. This description has been posted in accordance with Section 287.057(3)(c), Florida Statutes, and will remain posted for at least 15 business days, during which time prospective vendors may provide information regarding their ability to supply the requested commodities or services.
