About this file

This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT intends to enter into a single source contract with The Will-Burt Company for the procurement of Pneumatic Masts. These masts utilize pressurized air to raise and lower load packages for traffic monitoring during emergency operations, with a required height of 50 feet and a minimum payload of 200 lbs. to lift two pan/tilt/zoom CCTV cameras. The masts have a maximum nested height of 8.5 feet to ensure fitment and ease of deployment on FDOT's Mobile Command Trailers. FDOT has determined that The Will-Burt Company is the only known vendor able to meet the specified height and weight requirements without adding additional weight to the trailers.

The contract price for the Pneumatic Masts is $85,242.00. This procurement opportunity is intended for the Leon County and Tallahassee City jurisdictions within the state of Florida. No other salient information, such as funding sources, set-asides, or contract term details, is provided in the document.

The masts utilize pressurized air to raise and lower load packages for traffic monitoring and have a maximum nested height of 8.5 feet to ensure fitment to the MCTs for transport while maintaining ease of deployment.
