About this file

This is a Bid Bond Form document for the 2026 Streets Improvement Project submitted by Lower Alsace Township in Pennsylvania. The project encompasses milling, base repair, overlay work on a section of Prospect Street, and ADA curb ramp construction. Bidders must submit proposals by July 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. through PennBid (www.pennbid.net). All proposals must remain effective for sixty days, and the selected contractor must complete the project within ninety calendar days of receiving the Notice to Proceed. Bidders are required to attend a pre-bid meeting and must be PennDOT Prequalified per PennDOT Publication 408, Section 102.01.

Proposals must include a bid bond, cash, money order, certified check, or cashier's check equal to at least 10 percent of the total proposal amount. The successful bidder will be obligated to provide Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract value from an approved surety company authorized to conduct business in Pennsylvania. Additionally, proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance must be submitted as specified in the bid documents. The project is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act requirements, and bituminous material price adjustments will follow PennDOT Publication 408 Section 110.04, latest edition, except where modified by the Township's Resolution for small quantities.
