About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to RFQ 89603026Q0052 issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Procurement Division. The amendment was issued on July 2, 2026, with an effective date of July 8, 2026, and is addressed to all offerors and bidders. The RFQ number is 89603026Q0052, with requisition/purchase request number 52840. The solicitation is administered by FERC's Procurement Division, located at 888 First Street, NE, Room 4J, Washington DC 20426, with Christina Nortey listed as the point of contact.

The amendment provides responses to five vendor-submitted questions regarding technical specifications outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The government responses approve several alternative component configurations, including: 5/8x24 muzzle threads with a HUX QD muzzle device (HUXWRX Flow compatible); SOLGW BCG with C158 bolt as equivalent to Stressproof bolt specifications; SOLGW stainless rifle spring as alternative to braided rifle spring in the A5 action spring system; and sling options with sewn-in QD swivels as acceptable alternatives to the Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications Sling (VCAS) baseline specification. All approved alternatives are confirmed to meet or exceed SOW technical requirements. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.

RFQ 89603026Q0052 – Vendor Questions and Government Responses

2.1.2

Question: Would 5/8x24 muzzle threads be allowed if muzzle device provided was a HUX QD but for these muzzle threads?

Response: Yes, this threading configuration is technically acceptable as the provided muzzle device is HUXWRX Flow compatible.

2.1.4

Question: The Stressproof bolt is a part of the REBCG - we offer the equivalent NP3 coated BCG in the MK1 with a C158 bolt, would that be acceptable for that bullet point?

Response: Yes, the SOLGW BCG is technically acceptable as it meets/exceeds the SOW technical requirements.

2.1.5

Question: For action spring, the A5 system as identified uses a rifle length spring and there is no braided rifle spring option, would the stainless rifle spring we use be allowed?

Response: Yes, the SOLGW stainless spring is technically acceptable as it meets the SOW technical requirement.

2.3

Question: Is there a specific sling or part number preferred by FERC?

Response: No, there are not specific slings/part numbers preferred. The Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Applications Sling (VCAS) was the basis for the technical specifications used in the SOW.

Question: Would a sling option with sewn in QD swivels be allowed?

Response: Yes, a sling option with sewn in QD swivels is technically acceptable as it does not differ substantively or meaningfully from the SOW technical requirement.
