Installation Of Propane Generator The installation of the propane generator shall comply with manufacturer’s instruction and all connections between the engine generator and exterior systems such as the propane fuel lines, electrical connections, and exhaust system shall be flexible. All components of the propane generator shall be installed so that the generator will energize during a failure of the normal electrical power.
Per Section 1.10.1 if seismic analysis shows the equipment not operating as designed, then vibration isolators shall support the base of the generator. Each isolator shall be bolted on the concreate pad with the propane generator base bolted to the isolator.
· The base of the generator shall be drilled and prepped at the factory for the isolator bolts (if required).
· The propane generator shall be adequately anchored and braced to withstand the seismic forces at the location where installed.
· Sufficient isolators shall be installed on the concreate pad to bear the loads of the generator and not exceed the concreate pad loading specification with equal number of isolators at each side of the generator base (if required).
· The location of the isolators shall be approximately equal to equally distribute the deflection per isolator.
· Isolators shall be shipped loose with the propane generator.
Installation of Automatic Transfer Switch Installation of the ATS shall comply with manufacturer’s instruction. All components of the ATS shall be installed so that the propane generator will energize during a failure of the normal electrical power and de-energize when the power is back on along with other capabilities defined in the controls section of the specification.
Installation of the Propane Tank Level Sensor Installation of the propane tank level sensor per manufacturer’s installation instructions. Post installation configure two alarms, one set to trigger at 30% and one to trigger at 95%.
Final Inspection and System Verification After completion of acceptance checks, settings, and tests, the Contractor shall demonstrate that the propane generator, ATS, propane tank level sensor, alarms, and controls are operating and properly performing the intended function.
Correction of Work after Final Payment The Contractor shall guarantee all materials and workmanship for one (1) year from date of final commissioning of the equipment. Any defects which may arise during this period shall be repaired within 72 hours by the Contractor including any damage done to the WAPA property and equipment.
Spare Parts
· Manufacturer shall provide a list of recommended spare parts.
· Manufacturer shall provide spare parts according to the list of recommended spare parts.
· Manufacturer shall provide a list of distributers that carry the recommended spare parts and other parts required for repair of the propane generator.
Instruction Manuals and Drawings A complete set of hardcopy Instruction Manuals and Drawings, consisting of operating and maintenance manuals, parts book, dimensional drawings, separate unit wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, and interconnecting wiring diagrams shall be provided. A second set of Instruction Manuals and Drawings shall be provided in electronic format on a CD.
Operator Training The manufacturer’s representative shall provide a minimum of 4 hours of onsite operating, programming, and maintenance training to WAPA maintenance personnel. The detailed Maintenance Schedule Plan and Approved Operating and Maintenance Manuals shall be available to WAPA personnel one week prior to the training session.
Technical Assistance
· Provide contact information for a local representative for repair of the propane generator.
· Provide contact information for technical support of the propane generator.
NOTES:
If there are any deviations to the specification the manufacturer shall clearly specify what portion(s) of this specification the manufacturer will deviate and provide a reason for the deviation(s).
