The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is seeking sources that can provide a software solution and support to be integrated with the existing Siemens NX Computer aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Weipert Frai Linz (WFL) Computer numerical Control (CNC) Millturn to manufacture complex aerospace parts.

CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS:

DISA/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) 2300 East Drive, Building 3600 Scott Air Force Base, Illinois 62225-5406

INTRODUCTION:

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to determine the availability and technical capability of small businesses including the following subsets: Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses and Woman-Owned Small Businesses and large businesses to provide the required products and/or services.

DISA is seeking information from potential sources for: the purchase of Post-Processor software licenses and support services, including implementation, installation, training, and support that will aid in end user growth of the implemented WFL CNC Post Processor millturn.

Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) is responsible for the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and technical services of aircraft, engines, and aeronautical components for the United States Navy. FRCSE utilizes a WFL milturn to produce various aircraft components and structural parts for F/A-18A-D, H-60, P-8 P-3, and other aircraft Currently the WFL. The WFL milturn does not have a post processor which greatly suppresses the machine’s ability to produce complex aerospace parts. The post processor is the crucial link between the upstream CAM software and the downstream machine. The post processor integrates the programs from the CAM software and integrates them into a language that can be understood and utilized by the downstream machine.

The anticipated Period of Performance is 1-year base period from date of award, with four, 1-year option periods for a total contract lifecycle of five years.

The anticipated Place of Performance is FRCSE, 101 Wasp St, Jacksonville, FL 32212.
