About this file
This is a Scope of Work document prepared by Gloucester County, Virginia for the Spillway Tower Improvements project at the Beaverdam Creek Reservoir. The project encompasses improvements and upgrades to the spillway tower and associated water treatment facilities, including installation of new flow and chloride monitoring systems, electrical and control connections, sluice gate rehabilitation and replacement, sump pump and transformer upgrades, and related infrastructure improvements. The work requires qualified contractors to perform both equipment installation and system integration across multiple interconnected facility components. The scope details specific technical requirements for each system upgrade, with particular emphasis on water quality monitoring capabilities and operational reliability of the spillway and treatment infrastructure.
The project specifications indicate that contractors must demonstrate expertise in water treatment facility operations, electrical systems integration, and reservoir infrastructure maintenance. The work encompasses both mechanical and electrical disciplines, requiring coordination across multiple trades and system installations. Contractors are expected to ensure compliance with applicable water quality standards and operational protocols during all improvements. The document provides detailed technical specifications for each component to be upgraded, establishing clear performance standards and compatibility requirements for all new systems and equipment installations.
