About this file
This Addendum 1 to Solicitation 81-10082026 issued by Brunswick Community College modifies the procurement timeline and provides responses to fourteen vendor inquiries regarding the Aquatics Center Video Display/Scoreboard project. The proposal submission deadline has been extended to Monday, November 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. EST. Prospective bidders may arrange individual site visits to the Aquatics Center by contacting Kevin Nulter at (910) 755-7399, though no formal walkthrough will be scheduled. The addendum clarifies that the new videoboard will replace an existing approximately 7-foot-wide by 11-foot-high display currently mounted on a cinder block wall at approximately 7 feet above floor level, with the selected bidder responsible for removal and disposal of the existing display.
The addendum addresses critical technical and infrastructure details: the College will provide required power and hardwired network connections for the videoboard, with the operator area located approximately 20 feet from the display location by the back door; wireless communication between the videoboard and operator station is required to avoid cabling across pool deck and walking surfaces. The proposed system must be capable of displaying video content in addition to serving as a scoreboard with no specific resolution requirement mandated. The videoboard PC will be located in the operator area, which currently accommodates two laptops and two printers during swim meets, and the College may use the proposed videoboard PC to replace its current computer if it can communicate directly with the Colorado Timing System. The College is unable to confirm current availability of Display Link Plus hardware and software and cannot provide photographs of the Colorado Timing System configuration during swim meets. All vendors must sign and return this addendum with their proposal submission to avoid their proposals being deemed non-responsive.

No formal site walkthrough will be scheduled.
Prospective bidders may contact Kevin Nulter at
(910) 755-7399 to arrange a visit to the project location.
2 Will the new videoboard replace an existing display?

4 Is the replacement display intended to mount to an existing concrete wall/structure, or must it be freestanding? Please provide any available dimensions, material details, or load information for the existing mounting surface or structure.
The existing videoboard is mounted to a cinder block wall. The current display is approximately 7 feet wide by 11 feet high. No additional information regarding the existing mounting system is available.
5 How high above floor level will it be to the bottom of the videoboard?
The bottom of the videoboard will be approximately 7 feet above floor level.
6 Could you provide current photos of the display location, existing scoreboard/mounting area, pool, and surrounding areas, as well as any available elevations or drawings?

Question # Vendor Question State’s Response 7 What electrical service is available at the videoboard location (including voltage, amperage, phase, circuit, and approximate connection location), and who will be responsible for providing and installing any required power connections to the videoboard?
The College will provide the required power and data connections for the videoboard. Bidders shall identify the necessary electrical requirements for their proposed video display/scoreboard, as requested in Section 4.11, "Questions to the Vendors."
8 Is a network connection available at the display location? If so, is it wired or wireless, and where is the nearest connection point?
The College will provide a hardwired connection for the videoboard.
9 Who is responsible for running data cabling from videoboard to PC to operators area?
The College will run the internet cable.
10 How far is the videoboard from the operator’s area/computer?
The operator area is located by the back door, as shown in the photograph on page 5, and is approximately 20 feet from the videoboard location. To avoid cabling across the pool deck or walking surfaces, communication between the videoboard and the operator station must be wireless.
11 Do you have a preferred resolution for the videoboard?
No specific resolution is required. The proposed videoboard should be capable of displaying video content in addition to serving as a scoreboard.
12 This videoboard will require its own PC to drive the software – this PC is what will connect to the Colorado Timing System - how close can the videoboard PC be installed to the Colorado Timing System?
The videoboard PC will be located in the operator area, which is approximately 20 feet from the videoboard. The operator area currently accommodates two laptops and two printers during swim meets. If the proposed videoboard PC can communicate directly with the Colorado Timing System, the College may use that PC in place of its current computer.
13 Do you currently have Display Link Plus hardware & software on the computer provided to you from Colorado Timing Systems?
The College is not able to confirm at this time whether Display Link Plus hardware and software is currently installed; however, it is understood that it is either currently available or will be provided.
14 Can photographs be provided of all Colorado Timing System components as they would be set up during a swim meet?
The College does not have photographs of the Colorado Timing System components as they are configured during a swim meet.
