STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

The NASA Glenn Ballistics Impact Laboratory has a need to purchase two (2) monochrome 7510 Phantom High-Speed Cameras or equivalent that will be used with NASA-owned 2023 Zeiss Inspect Correlate Professional Software. The cameras will be used to capture high speed synchronous images on the backside of impact tested structures or flat panels to allow the digital image software to calculate strains and displacements. This type of data is mainly used to validate computer models that predict damage and failure in tested structures.

NOTE: In accordance with FAR 52.211-6, where brand names are indicated, the Contractor shall provide brand name or equal. Purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that shall satisfy the Government’s needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that “equal” products must meet are specified in the solicitation.

2. Characteristics and Scope: Brand Name or Equal

The contractor shall perform the following duties:

Supply two Mono Phantom TMX 7510 High speed cameras or equivalent for use with Digital Image Correlation (DIC) Software.

3. Specifications Cameras shall provide image sync as they will be used as a camera pair for

Digital Image Correlation.

Cameras need to have a minimum resolution of at least 1280 pixels x 800 pixels and operate at 76,000 frames per second at this resolution.

One (1) camera must have a 38 nanosecond exposure and the second camera must have a minimum of a 59 95 nanosecond exposure.

Each Camera must have at least 512 128 GB of RAM.

Each Camera must have a minimum of 12-bit image depth.

Each Camera must be able to save images as a cine file. This type of file can be automatically imported into the DIC software and keep its interstage times.

4. Place of Performance NASA Glenn Research Center

5. Period of Performance Cameras need to be delivered on or before 6 weeks after receipt of order (ARO).
