About this file

This is a Statement of Work for NASA Kennedy Space Center's Vision Procurement CDAS expansion project at the KSC Launch Command Center.

The contractor shall design and implement a hybrid fiber coax Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to provide cellular coverage to all floors of the M3 building within the NASA KSC Launch Command Center. The scope includes materials, project management, and engineering services but excludes installation and cabling materials, which will be provided by others. The DAS system will connect to existing RF signal sources already onsite. The contractor must provide submittal drawings for approval, antenna placement locations, and testing methodology with results. The contractor shall procure all DAS-related materials and install the head end/active equipment, configure and test the system for proper operation, perform system commissioning with live signal testing, monitor system operation to ensure proper balance, and conduct final verification testing and validation survey. Close-out documentation shall include system as-built information with equipment locations, system test results, firmware revisions and configuration with equipment serial numbers, coverage documentation, and warranty documentation.

The place of performance is NASA Kennedy Space Center, State Road 40, Merritt Island, Florida, K6 B2496, with point of contact James Bjornbak. The period of performance is 30 days after receipt of order (ARO).

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

Description Qty All Floors for M3 (Hybrid fiber coax) Includes materials, project management, and engineering services to provide cellular coverage to the NASA KSC LCC building but excludes installation and cabling materials. DAS system will connect to existing RF Signals sources already onsite.

Vision will provide a design to provide coverage to the specified area mentioned above of the NASA LCC building in accordance with industry requirements and standards.

2. The deliverables will include submittal drawings for approval, antenna placement locations, testing methodology and results as outlined in the requirements.

3. Vision will procure all DAS-related materials and install the head end/active equipment. This proposal assumes that the cabling and antenna installation will be provided by others.

4. Upon completion of the system installation, Vision will configure and test the system for proper operation. Vision engineers will perform the system commissioning. Vision will perform system testing to ensure the DAS is functioning properly with a live signal. After system activation, Vision will monitor the system for some time and ensure the system is properly operating and properly balanced.

Once system is in normal operation, Vision will conduct a final verification testing and perform a validation survey.

Vision’s close-out documentation will include:

-System as-built information-equipment locations -System test results -Firmware revisions and configuration, equipment serial numbers -Documentation of coverage.

-Warranty Documentation
