About this file

This is a Statement of Work for thermal properties testing of lunar regolith simulant material. The contractor shall gather thermal properties of ICN-LHT-1G lunar regolith simulant at a bulk sample density of 1.5 to 1.6 grams per cubic centimeter using two standardized test methods: ASTM E1461 for diffusivity and calculated conductivity at temperatures of 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1650, and 1700 degrees Celsius, and ASTM E1269 for differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) specific heat capacity measured from 25 to 1650 degrees Celsius. The actual density of the simulant during testing shall be documented and reported as part of the deliverables.

Performance of the work shall take place at Firm's Testing Facility, with a final report delivery deadline no later than 8 weeks after procurement. The scope requires comprehensive thermal testing that characterizes the material's thermal behavior across a wide temperature range relevant to lunar surface conditions, with precise density specifications to ensure test validity and reproducibility.
