About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) requiring custom replacement parts for a high-temperature furnace used in Space Nuclear Propulsion and shielding development research. The work is located in MSFC Building 4602, Room 1124.
The contractor must design and manufacture custom-fitted replacement components that are compatible with the existing high-temperature furnace system. Required deliverables include: a tungsten heating element (3.5" diameter, 8" long), a tungsten/molybdenum shield pack assembly, top hole shield assembly, bottom hole shield assembly, an arm shield pack (¾", tungsten/molybdenum), and a replacement o-ring kit. The contractor must also provide product details and installation instructions. These components are not commercial off-the-shelf products and must be specifically engineered to integrate with the existing furnace system at MSFC.
