About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA Ames Research Center's requirement for a modular steel enclosure for a Composites Oven Processing System at Building N211. The project involves fabricating a cleanroom structure with specific technical requirements, including dimensions of 9'6" wide x 25' long x 9'6" high, featuring multiple bays (Waste Bay, Center Bay, and Materials Bay), four cleanroom doors, lift-off panels, PVC roof and wall systems, and duct connections.

The contract is intended to be a sole-source award to Georgia Thermal Products, with a performance period from June 2025 to October 2025. The single line item is for one Oven/Processing Area Enclosure, to be delivered in October 2025. The enclosure will support NASA's Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) materials development for Class-D missions, manufacturing surge mitigation, and commercial space requests. The NASA point of contact is Matthew Gasch from the Thermal Protection Materials and Systems Branch, located at NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California.

STATEMENT OF WORK

Modular Steel Enclosure for Ames Research Center Thermal Protection System Branch Composites Oven Processing System

May 2025

National Aeronautics and Space Administration Ames Research Center Moffett Field, California

Modular Enclosure TSM Version: Rev 1

1.0 Background

NASA Ames is supporting various commercial and government entities in the fabrication, continued development, and integration of various Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) materials.

These parts will support Class-D missions, manufacturing surge mitigation, and small business (commercial space) requests for TPS materials.

2.0 Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to procure Modular Steel Framed Cleanroom Structure around a large processing vacuum oven provided by Georgia Thermal Products.

3.0 Project Structure

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, facilities, service, equipment, analysis, and management necessary to fabricate hardware defined in section 4.0.

4.0 Contract Line-Item Numbers

The effort described by this SOW shall be completed when all Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS), defined in Table 1, are complete. Once the oven is delivered to the NASA facilities located at Moffett Field, CA, NASA requires additional services by vendor to assist commissioning the unit.
