STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements Langley Exchange seeks a Playground Equipment for its Child Care Center that meets the following the requirements in #2. The Provider/Vendor shall remove the existing unit, remove and dispose, outside the NASA Langley Research Center.
2. Playground Equipment Specifications Summary Materials:
• Rotationally Molded Plastic composed of MDPE, UV-16 stabilized, and static-dissipative performance.
• HDPE Plastic/Panels compression molded, UV Stabilized and 4000 psi tensile strength.
• Structural Steel Pipe/Tube for Posts, Guardrails, Climbers, Ladders etc. ASTM A500 and ASTM A53 Grade B, Zinc-Rich Epoxy Primer Coated, and TGIC Super-Durable Topcoat with 99% Opacity.
• PVC Coating on Decks, Steps, etc. with Anti-Microbial Additive, UV Light Stabilizer Additive, Self-Extinguishing Material, and 1600-1900 psi tensile Strength.
• Fasteners/Hardware 18/8 Stainless Steel
• Playground Safety and Accessibility Playground Equipment meets ASTM 1487-21 standards and CPSC #325 guidelines for Playground Safety. Equipment use zones accounted for.
Complies with DOJ-2010 ADA Law Manufacturer is IPEMA certified. DOJ-2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design are met.
• User capacity of (51) designed for users 2-12 years old.
Equipment Warranty
• Limited Lifetime Warranty Steel deck support posts, stainless steel hardware, clamps, deck hangers, etc.
• Limited 15 Year Warranty: Perforated steel decks and stairs, etc. rotationally molded and sheet plastic components.
• Limited 5 Year Warranty: PE coating and PVC coating (against cracking and peeling)
• Lifetime Installation Warranty: Replace parts covered under manufacturer warranty free of charge.
• Unique Rainbow Bonded Rubber Surfacing Seamless poured-in-place rubber surfacing, one thickness pours, natural color and appearance, 7-year warranty (with proper maintenance)
• Designed and installed to exceed equipment fall height.
• Meets or exceeds ASTM D412, D624, D2047, D2859, E303, F1292, and F1951 standards.
• Mixes As Ratio: 14% urethan divided by 86% rubber.
• Installation Manufacturer Certified Installer, Certified Playground Safety Inspector(s) on site, Qualified contractor with the International Playground Contractors Association (NPCAI), Bonded and insured for Recreational Product installation, Class A Contractor.
• Lifetime Installation Warranty: Replace parts covered under manufacturer warranty free of charge.
