About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) template for a NASA requirement to procure 120 acrylic floating frames with hardware for the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD) at Goddard Space Flight Center. The frames must be 34 x 44 inches in size with rounded edges on all four corners.

The frames will be used to update display walls in multiple Goddard buildings (B11, B305, B7/29, B23, and B28) to showcase work being done on-site, provide informational signage for tours and VIP visitors, and highlight employee contributions to NASA's mission. The vendor is required to order acrylic material and hardware, fabricate the frames to specification, and deliver them to NASA Goddard's B11 loading dock where an ETD contractor will inspect the materials. This one-time acquisition is intended to save costs by allowing in-house poster updates without requiring external framing services. The associated federal contract opportunity indicates NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Severn Graphics Inc, with responses from other capable vendors due by 4:00 PM CST on December 9, 2024.

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) TEMPLATE

Statement of Work (SOW)

Project: 120 acrylic frame order for ETD

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: We need to have a quantity of 120 acrylic floating frames with hardware fabricated to each be the size of 34 x 44 inches.

2.0 Background: These frames will be utilized to update various display walls that are in multiple Goddard buildings such as B11, B305, B7/29, B23, and B28. These frames will allow for ease of replacement of posters that become outdated by allowing in-house posters to be designed and printed for replacement without incurring extra costs for having them reframed at an outside vendor. This is a one-and-done acquisition which will save the government thousands of dollars over the years by having this stock of frames ready for use.

3.0 Objective: Our objective is to showcase the work being done on-site at Goddard, provide informational signage for tours and VIP visitors as well as showcase the employees’ contributions to the overall NASA mission through the work they have done as part of the Engineering and Technology Directorate (ETD). These frames will provide a cohesive look and feel within our facilities promoting morale and providing stunning imagery highlighting the important work that Goddard is known for.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

4.0 Technical Requirements or Description of the Work: This section defines and explains the work to be performed. The work effort should be segregated into major tasks with a detailed description of what is to be achieved as opposed to the manner by which the work is to be performed. Vendor will order acrylic material and hardware. Acrylic panels will be cut down to the requested size with rounded edges on all 4 corners.
