About this file
This document contains vendor questions and customer responses related to RFQ 80NSSC25887208Q for Control Room Furniture Delivery and Install. The key details are:
The procurement is a Brand Name or Equal To requirement set aside for small businesses. The government is seeking a supplier to produce a design, procure, deliver, and install high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing workstations and furniture to meet the specified requirements. Delivery is requested within 90 days of award.
The customer provided responses to 22 specific vendor questions covering topics such as incumbents, tax exemption, facility access, site visits, equipment removal, product specifications, room dimensions, staffing, furniture requirements, and quote formatting. There are no current products installed, as this is new construction. The government will provide a forklift if needed for loading, but not for use inside the facility. The furniture must be new and adhere to the specified quantities, which are hard set. Pricing is to be submitted in PDF format.

Vendor Questions and Customer Response
RFQ 80NSSC25887208Q
1. Is there a current incumbent? If so, what is the award number? No
2. Is this a new requirement? Yes
3. Will the government be tax exempt? If so, what documents will be provided? Yes, COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA SALES AND USE TAX
CERTIFICATE OF EXEMPTION.
4. Are there any special requirements for access to the facility? Individuals accessing the center will have to get badges through our badging procedure. Two forms of id are required. Will provide full details as needed.
5. We'll be able to do a site visit? Will there be a loading dock area in any stairs? Will elevators be able to accommodate the move? A site visit is possible. There are stairs in the facility and loading area. I will get a full description as I am not certain of the interior access. The facility is in the final phase of construction and opening soon. Therefore, I must reach out to find out if there will be elevator access. I will forward the answer once the customer response.
6. Will any old equipment need to be removed? Will the government provide any tools, for example a forklift for any of the installation? If a forklift is required to load into the facility, the government can facilitate a forklift and operator. A forklift will not be an option inside the facility.
7. Are any pictures available of the actual products installed currently or are any serial numbers available to identify good vendors or products? No products are currently installed as this is new construction. New construction so there are no items currently installed. The listing that was forwarded with the package has options, but we are open to similar products or designs. (See attachments SATPC0036931 Tab 04 Requested Similar Products_Designs.)
8. The SOW states stainless steel Disc. Being that this is an aerospace part, does the heat treat need to be NADCAP certified or is a standard heat treater acceptable? None of the items are aerospace fight parts. Stainless steel is just the finish.
9. In drafting a design for the control room, I realized that the room dimensions were not added/included in the SOW.
(A). Is there an additional layout file I should consider to complete this design?
(B). And could you please provide the room's dimensions for a more accurate design? Or more information on the workstation specifications? See attachments SATPC0036931 Tab 04 5 Drawing File.
10. Do you have a CAD drawing or any kind of drawing of the room that indicates dimensions or space details? Yes, See question 9.
11. How many staff members/guests do you anticipate having in the control room at one time? The staffing will not be consistent, so we provided the total of desks to incorporate.
12. Are there specific brands that you are looking to obtain? Or are you just looking for higher quality furniture? No specific brand.
13. Are the quantities outlined in the Workspace Specifications hard set? Or can those quantities fluctuate as needed? Hard Set
14. Does the furniture need to be new? Or would you consider used furniture in excellent condition as well? The furniture must be new.
15. Does the quote need to be in a specific format or file (i.e. excel, PDF, etc.)? PDF Format
16. On the workstations, is the “tray” intended to be a keyboard tray? Storage tray under the standing desk.
17. What size would you like the standing worktables to be? Is the standing height intended to be 42”h? Variable height standing desks are preferred.
18. Are the standing desk modesty and privacy panels ok to be included on the 10 workstations, or are these in addition to the 10 workstations privacy/modesty panels? The modesty panels were based on small side panels not the under-table variety of privacy panels.
19. How wide do you want the lateral files to be? How many drawers? Metal or laminate? Metal is the preferred finish. No specific width
20. What do you want in the power hubs? Power only? USB? How many of each? Are they to be able to attach to a standard worksurface? Do you want them above or below the worksurface? The power hubs should attach to the workstation but not restricted to the top surface. Power and USB would be preferred. 21 in total
21. What kind of tall side chairs are you looking for? Any images? Are you looking for stools? High backs? The chairs used for the quote are high back chairs.
22. What do you mean by “studio lamps”? Are these lamps to go on the workstations? Any images? Based on LED lamps that go on the workstation.
