About this file

The provided document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Next-Gen Microshutter Array (NGMSA) group at the Detector Systems Branch of NASA. The SOW outlines the requirement to purchase cameras and optical components to build a testing system to evaluate the optical performance of microshutter arrays for the Habitable Worlds Observatory. The test system requires highly sensitive, large-area sensors and low-noise readout capabilities.

The related federal contract opportunity is a sole-source procurement (Solicitation Number: 80NSSC25882669Q) issued by NASA's Shared Services Center to acquire the required testing system from Edmund Optics. The procurement is for commercial items and services using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334290. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 11/4/2024, which the government will evaluate to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements The Next-Gen Microshutter Array (NGMSA) group at the Detector Systems Branch needs to purchase cameras and optical components to build the testing system to test microshutter arrays for the Habitable Worlds Observatory . These cameral and optics are essential components of the test system. The test system supposed to have capability to evaluate microshutter’s optical performance, therefore a imaging setup with highly sensitive large area sensor and low noise readout is necessary.
