About this file

This document is a Statement of Work for a federal solicitation. The objective is to acquire a cryogenic helium compressor unit and a helium leak detector to support vacuum systems and cryogenic pumps used in NASA's Detector Development Lab for various missions.

The key requirements are: A) Cryo Compressor - a CTI 8200 model compatible with existing hardware, with 208/230V single phase power and water cooling. B) Leak Detector - a helium leak detector kit with a dry rough pump and mobile cart. Shipping and crating are to be included. The place of performance is the vendor's facility, with any necessary training at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. The period of performance is 6 months from the date of award. Visitors, including sales representatives and technicians, are required to provide advance notice based on citizenship status.

SECTION 1

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

NASA-GSFC owns many vacuum systems and cryogenic based vacuum pumps for use in our semiconductor fabrication facility, the Detector Development Lab (DDL). A cryogenic He compressor unit is needed to support cryogenic pump that connect to equipment in the DDL to support various NASA missions, such as ATHENA, EXCLAIM, PRIMA, HabWorlds Development and others. Additionally, a helium leak detector is needed for maintenance on vacuum systems. The leak detector and compressor are critical to have to maintain equipment supporting these missions and to produce semiconductor/MEMS devices.
