About this file

This Statement of Work outlines requirements for 50 EnSci (JH Acquisition, LLC) Electrochemical Concentration Cell (ECC) ozonesondes, payout reels, and meteorological parachutes for SHADOZ long-term measurement stations in Quito and San Cristobal, Ecuador. The equipment will support multi-decadal balloon-borne ozone profile records used for satellite validation, ozone/pollution trends, and climate studies. The EnSci ozonesonde is specifically required to maintain consistency with existing SHADOZ records and compatibility with current ground data collection systems.

The period of performance runs from March 2025 to February 2026, with work to be performed at the Quito and San Cristobal SHADOZ stations. Station operators will prepare, launch, and collect data from the ozonesondes, transmitting results to NASA/GSFC in Greenbelt, MD. NOAA SHADOZ colleagues will handle pickup of instruments from the manufacturer and shipping to the Ecuador stations. The procurement is being managed by NASA Shared Services Center with work supporting NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
