About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for an automated pipetting instrument to support high-throughput biochemistry assays. The key requirements are:
The instrument must support multichannel pipetting compatible with 96-well and 384-well sample plates, transfer volumes from 0.5 to 300 microliters, and pipette with an accuracy of 2% or better. The instrument will be used for the NASA EPDEL work package project.
The federal contract opportunity is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of this automated pipetting instrument, issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center. The solicitation number is 80NSSC24884087Q.

STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The NASA work package project EPDEL requires an automated pipetting instrument that can manipulate small volumes and interface with 96-well and 384-well plates.
The liquid handling robot will be used to support high-throughput biochemistry assays.
2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs
The vendor shall provide an automated pipetting instrument that meets the following specifications:
The instrument must support multichannel pipetting compatible with transferring liquids between 96-well (including deep 96-well plates) and 384-well sample plates.
The instrument must support transfer of volumes from 0.5 microliters to 300 microliters.
The instrument must pipette volumes with an accuracy of <10% for volumes under 10 microliters and <5% for volumes greater than 10 microliters.
The instrument must pipette volumes precisely with a precision of <5% for all volumes.
The instrument must be able to move and pipette on its own (hands-free) for automated performance.
The instrument must include a 3-position stage for multi-well plates for efficient plate manipulation.
The vendor shall either install the instrument or provide clear and detailed instructions for the installation of the instrument such that it will meet the above specification when operated.
3. Place of Performance
Delivered to NASA Ames Research Center, building N239.
4. Period of Performance Equipment shall be delivered within 30 days of placing the order.
