About this file
The provided document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of four iMAGINE-X Cadmium-Telluride double-sided strip detectors (CdTe-DSD) and four associated readout circuit boards. The detectors are to be used in the Hard X-ray Imager (HXI) for the SuperHERO mission, which utilizes grazing incident optics from the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). iMAGINE-X, located in Japan, is the sole provider of this hardware. The period of performance is 8 months from the date of award. The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice (solicitation number 80NSSC24879629Q) issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center, which intends to award a sole-source contract to iMAGINE-X under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications by 8/22/2024 for consideration of a competitive procurement.

STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR THE
iMAGINE-X Cadmium-Telluride Detectors 8/2/2024 iMAGINE-X Inc. provides Cadmium-Telluride double-sided strip detectors (CdTe-DSD) that were originally designed for the Hard X-ray Imager (HXI) that flew on Hitomi (ASTRO-H). The strips are 250 μm in width, providing hard X-ray sensitivity at high event position resolution. It has extensive heritage, a very high energy bandpass (up to 80 keV), and a low price point making this hardware ideal as a detector plane for the SuperHERO mission using a hard X-ray telescope that utilizes MSFC grazing incident optics.
iMAGINE-X shall provide four 34x34x1mm CdTeDSD Detectors and four Readout circuit boards (without software).
Advance notice of shipping including tracking numbers is required.
Period of Performance: 8 months from the date of award
