About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity. The objective is for the contractor to manufacture ten water condensate separator components that will be used to support a dormancy test for the International Space Station's Environmental Control and Life Support Systems. The SOW specifies the required characteristics, scope, and specifications for the components, including ensuring the correct stock material, validating dimensions and tolerances, and completing manufacturing by December 16, 2024. The place of performance is Tropic Tools and Mold in Albertville, Alabama.

The related federal contract opportunity is for Machining and Surface Treatment of Components for the Water Condensate Separator Assembly. NASA intends to award a sole source contract to 222 HOLDINGS LLC under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as it has been determined that 222 HOLDINGS LLC is the sole provider of these services. The procurement will be for commercial items and services using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 procedures. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to the identified point of contact by 8/9/2024, which the government will evaluate to determine if the procurement should be conducted on a competitive basis.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements Tropic Tools and Mold has the capability to manufacture components that closely resemble and imitate the appearance and functionality of the water condensate separator that is currently aboard the ISS. NASA Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) has interest in creating a functionally similar duplicate of the water condensate separator to properly judge the impact of dormancy on the system and thus needs to procure functionally identical components.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall perform the following duties:

Complete the manufacturing of all ten of the water condensate separator components listed in the table below.

Ensure that the stock material used to make the components is the correct series and grade.

Validate that the dimensions and tolerance are within the specifications on the respective drawing instructions.

Complete manufacturing in a timely manner to support the Dormancy test stand, so manufacturing must be performed prior to December 16, 2024.

3. Place of Performance Tropic Tools and Mold located at 1420 Wagner Drive Albertville, AL 35950-8549

4. Period of Performance Manufacturing shall be performed from the earliest applicable date through December 16, 2024.
