Statement of Work
The NASA Glenn Research Center has three (3) OG-500 oxygen generator systems that require service to replace the zeolite molecular sieve.
The requirements for this service are as follows:
1) 3,600 pounds of PSA02-XP 8 x 12 MOLSIV Adsorbents (zeolite)
2) On-site service visit that includes:
i. complete removal of existing zeolite molecular sieve
ii. refilling of the tanks with new sieve
iii. ensuring proper function of generators to obtain ~93% purity oxygen after replacing sieve.
All work performed under this contract on-site at Glenn Research Center shall be in compliance with 29CFR1910 and/or 29CFR1926 (OSHA) and those policies set forth in the NASA Glenn Research Center's Safety and Occupational Health Program manuals. The Contractor shall submit a Health and Safety Plan (HASP) in accordance with the NASA Glenn Safety Manual. Work shall proceed only when approval by GRC SHeD is received. A template for the HASP is provided on the next page.
Service personnel should be knowledgeable and trained in appropriate health and safety procedures for working with oxygen generating equipment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment
(PPE).
