Text version

The vendors would like to request a site walk. Can one be scheduled? Site visits will be available Wednesday, August 8th between 9 AM and 11 AM. Any interested vendor please confirm by Friday, August 3rd by 12 noon.

Are the DMR interfaces for current or for future anticipated use and how many DMR interfaces are required? Yes, for current and future use, DMR are required to support a minimum of 24 Radios, and two 4 wire audio inputs.

All the gateways shown in your provided graphics, and as detailed in Appendix A, are two ports, is it acceptable to provide gateways with four or more ports? Yes, must support a minimum of 24 Radios, and two 4 wire audio inputs.

The RFQ states “Auxiliary Input/Output (AUX I/O) points: 10 per AUX I/O service, multiple AUX I/O services shall be allowed to extend this capacity.” Can each Aux I/O support greater than 10? Yes, each Aux I/O can support greater than 10.

Since SSC plans to migrate all of the 400 MHz Trunked Radio services to the MSWIN radio system, would it be acceptable to connect the two new console positions to the MSWIN system nowm using donor radios to communicate to the existing 400MHz via donor radios? This approach would save NASA Stennis from having to reconnect the two console positions in the future, eliminate the need to acquire the fourteen additional radios that would communicate to MSWIN system now, and eliminate the implementation work for installing the radios, combiners and all the wiring. Core connected console is acceptable, but must include required local UHF 400MHz and VHF network radio links. These links must have the ability to patch to a MSWIN channel within the console application. A core connected console would eliminate the need for only MSWIN combiners and radios. NASA still has a requirement for the vendor to provide and install a combiner to support the NASA provided UHF 400MHz radios.

Do you require consoles to provide end-to-end voice encryption? No, only over the air radio to radio encryption is required.
