About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 80LARC25AQ001, a Blanket Purchase Agreement for Metallic Materials at NASA Langley Research Center. The document contains two questions and government responses.
The first question seeks clarification on metal sizes listed in Exhibit 1, to which the government responds that various sizes including custom sizes are available. The second question asks about quality certification requirements (ISO 9001, NAD-CAP, etc.), with the government clarifying that bidders do not need certifications, though a letter indicating certification is in progress would be acceptable.

OFFEROR QUESTIONS
Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) - Metallic Materials
Instructions. Q = Question / R = Government Response.
Q-01. Please advise [on] the sizes for the metals listed in Exhibit 1.
R-01. There are various sizes as well as custom sizes.
(End Question 01)
Q-02. It states the following on the sam.gov page but I could not reference it in any of the documents:
“[Offers to supply the item(s) described above must include:]
(4) Contractors shall submit all company quality certifications: ISO 9001, NAD-CAP, etc.”.
Does a proposing prime contractor have to have quality certifications in order to bid this? Or, would a letter stating a ISO 9001 is in progress works as well?
R-02. Bidders do not need certifications, however a letter indicating in progress would be acceptable.
(End Question 02)
