About this file
This document provides installation instructions for deploying version 4.00.00 of the Athena application to the production environment. Key steps include notifying stakeholders, making the application unavailable, executing SQL scripts to update the database, copying application files to the appropriate server, enabling TLS 1.2 and disabling earlier versions, making the application available again, verifying functionality on both the production and integration servers, and notifying stakeholders that the application is back online. The instructions are intended for infrastructure personnel and application administrators working with the Athena software at NASA's Johnson Space Center.

Build Installation Guide 4
Activities – take these actions on the target platform (Integration or Production)
Step 1.
(developers)
Notify stakeholders:
• Civil Servant: John Doe
• Application Owner: John Smith
Step 2.
(infrastructure)
Make the ATHENA application unavailable.
Step 3. (SKIP)
(DBA)
Make a backup of the Athena database to use if a back out becomes necessary.
Step 4.
(Infrastructure)
Make a backup of the Athena web application folder as a zip file to use if a back out becomes necessary.
Step 5.
(infrastructure)
Run the following SQL scripts to update the production database:
AthenaImport$\AthenaRelease\4.00.00\AthenaDatabaseScripts
1. Data.sql
Step 6.
(infrastructure)
If there are any errors in executing the scripts, do not continue with the next steps until the issue has been resolved. Each script should execute successfully. If there are any errors when the scripts are executed, please note the error and contact the Athena development team so that the issue can be resolved. If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, then a restore of the production database will need to be performed.
Step 7.
(infrastructure)
Take the following actions:
1. Using File Explorer, browse to the folder
AthenaImport$\AthenaRelease\4.00.00\AthenaWeb
2. Select all of the files and folders
3. Copy the files
4. Browse to the inetpub\wwwroot\Athena folder on the appropriate server (Production or Integration)
5. Paste the files allowing Replace or Overwrite
Step 8.
(infrastructure)
Enable TLS 1.2, and disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on the Production server.
Step 9.
(infrastructure)
Make ATHENA application available. Notify the Athena development team.
Step 10.
(Athena Admin)
Navigate to Administration -> Code Tables -> Data Types and update the Proc Var and Proc Var Cum formulas to :
(PLAN_COST+OPRF_COST+PLAN_MAT+OPRF_MATL+PROC_TVL_PLAN)-
(ACT_COST+ACT_MATL+PROC_TVL_ACT+OPRF_LBR_ACT+OPRF_MATL_ACT)
