Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal for the Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO)

Program. This new procurement is for a definition-phase study of a GeoXO Spacecraft that is planned to fly for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) GeoXO program series of geostationary satellites with the first launch planned for no later than 2032.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and

Size Standard are 541330 and $15 million, respectively. The Government anticipates a release of the

Final RFP in mid- to-late February 2022. No Draft RFP will be issued. The Government anticipates issuing a modification to this synopsis when the Final RFP becomes available.

It is anticipated that this procurement will be a full and open competition. The Government anticipates awarding up to three firm fixed price contracts; of 10- month duration and approximately $5M each for this definition-phase study.

This synopsis shall serve as the pre-solicitation for the Final RFP. When the Final RFP is issued, all responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

Prospective Offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror’s responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).

Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
