About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFI 80GRC025RFI0001, regarding the development of a test facility for advancing hydrogen technology for aeronautic applications. The document addresses three key questions about NASA's expectations for facility proposals.
The responses clarify that NASA prefers broad responses about hydrogen capabilities needed within the US rather than NASA-specific facility needs. The test facility does not need to be located at an existing NASA location, and NASA is interested in facilities at public or private businesses. Additionally, NASA confirms interest in sharing agreements that would make the facility available to the US Government and other public/private businesses, though specific availability details would need to be determined later.

RFI 80GRC025RFI0001 Questions:
1. For the “Facilies” secon in the RFI, Is the expectaon the respondent answer in terms of what we feel the NASA specific facility needs are, or more broadly to the hydrogen capability needed within the US? We would prefer the response to be more broadly as to what the capability needed within the US is.
2. Test Facility Locaon: Is it intended/required that the test facility to be developed be resident at a NASA facility (e.g. NASA Glenn Research Center, etc.) upon its construcon? Or could this facility also be resident at a public or private large/small business? No, it is not required that the facility be at an exisng NASA locaon, we are interested in outside locaons.
3. Test Facility Availability: If it is acceptable for this facility to be resident at a public/private large/small business, would it need to be available to the US Government and other public/private large/small businesses for use and, if so, is there a certain percentage of me each year that it would need to be available to them? Yes. That is exactly the type of informaon we are looking for. The details would sll have to be worked out on availability to the Government, but any sort of interest in a sharing agreement would be of interest.
