About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Gwinnett County Public Schools' solicitation B-2617AM for cutlery supplies to be used in school cafeterias throughout the district. The contract term is effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The school district anticipates ordering approximately 6,000 cases per month throughout the school year on a demand basis rather than as a single bulk order. Bidders may submit equivalent or alternative items that meet the same specifications and quality standards; however, specification sheets must be uploaded for equivalent products. Samples are not required prior to the bid due date. The district will place orders throughout the school year as needed, and the initial order quantity has not yet been determined.

All deliveries will be made to a single central location, with Gwinnett County Public Schools responsible for storing and distributing products internally. The awarded supplier is not required to maintain inventory. Orders will be issued only as purchase orders are submitted, with delivery lead time requirements referenced in the Distribution Center General Specifications. The requested items are cutlery sets rather than individual cutlery items. Payment terms are detailed in the Solicitation Instructions and Conditions. Bidders may upload additional proposal files under the Additional Info section of the bid portal.
