(16) Description:
This requirement is for a PAR Test Article and ancillary items for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL).
The required tasks are as follows:
● Task One (1) – Radar Test Article (RTA)
● Task Two (2) – Radar Test Facility (RTF) (including construction)
● Task Three (3) – Installation and Integration of RTA
● Task Four (4) – Documentation and Training
● Task Five (5) – Support and Maintenance
Tasks One (1) through Four (4) will make up the base period, which will have an anticipated period of performance of three (3) years. Task Five (5) will consist of five, one-year option periods. Full details on this project will be provided in the solicitation.
The Government anticipates awarding a non-commercial contract executed in accordance with FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation.
● Task One (1) RTA is cost plus fixed fee supply.
● Task Two (2) RTF is cost plus fixed fee construction and is supplementally governed by FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts.

All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation which shall be considered by the agency.
The anticipated Request for Proposal issuance date is on or about December 2, 2024. The anticipated proposal due date is on or about February 21, 2025.
