About this file

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the Montana Acquisition & Contracting System (MACS) for the Tramway Creek Mining Complex Reclamation Project. The project consists of a Base Bid and two Additive Alternates, with the primary scope involving environmental remediation activities including removing, hauling, and placing approximately 8,350 cubic yards of mine waste material at different locations within the project area. Key activities include clearing and grubbing vegetation, improving and maintaining haul roads, installing temporary bridges and stream diversions, constructing streambank stabilization features, developing and reclaiming borrow areas, and revegetating disturbed areas. The bid was opened on 9/15/2020 and closed on 10/22/2020, with the project contact being Vicki Woodrow from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.

The project is funded through state environmental remediation resources, with payment terms of Net 30 and using US Dollars as the currency. Bidders are required to demonstrate experience with at least five similar projects, provide a detailed project approach, and comply with various regulatory requirements including Montana prevailing wage rates, construction contractor registration, and gross receipts tax withholding. The bid includes detailed line items for mobilization, traffic control, dust control, road improvements, waste removal, erosion control, and rehabilitation activities across multiple site locations. The Base Bid and two Additive Alternates allow for potential additional mine waste removal of 4,000 and 1,600 cubic yards respectively, providing flexibility in the project's scope and potential environmental remediation extent.
