Statement of Work (SOW)
U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC)
Project Title: DFC ServiceNow Professional Services
1.0 General Information
The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is the U.S. Government's development finance institution. DFC mobilizes private capital to help solve critical development challenges and in doing so, advances U.S. foreign policy. Because DFC works with the private sector, it helps businesses invest and expand in ways that catalyze economic growth and development to benefit some of the world's poorest citizens.
DFC, which was formed from the merger of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and Development Credit Authority (DCA) division of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), started work on January 1, 2020. As a result of this merger, DFC has acquired additional financing options such as the ability to invest equity and to offer grants, in addition to the traditional direct debt financing, unfunded guarantees, political risk insurance, and debt support for private equity investment funds that were offered by its predecessor programs.
DFC currently manages a portfolio of more than 1000 transactions worth more than $30 billion in more than 100 countries and operates on a self-sustaining basis at no net cost to the American taxpayer. With the agency's goal to double its portfolio to $60B by 2025, the associated increase in transaction processing functionality required by a growing staff working towards that goal, and heightened stakeholder expectations and oversight, IT transformation is required to meet the evolving mission. To aid in this transformation, DFC is maturing its infrastructure around the most effective, industry-proven best practices related to people, processes, and tools.
