BACKGROUND
Idaho is graced with twenty-six thousand (26,000) miles of streams and rivers, more than three thousand (3,000) natural lakes, and a quarter-million (250,000) acres of ponds and reservoirs. Inhabiting those waters are forty-two (42) game fish species, from giant white sturgeon to wild trout, catfish to kokanee, and smallmouth bass to salmon and steelhead . Currently, IDFG Fish Production is leasing the Briggs Creek Hatchery for raising rainbow trout for stocking in Idaho waters for sportsmen while our Nampa Fish Hatchery is undergoing an extensive remodel. The leased component of Briggs Creek Hatchery consists of five (5) raceways with thirty (30) cubic feet per second (CFS) of water. The hatchery has an automated feed system. IDFG will maintain the lease, pay for all utilities associated with running the hatchery, maintain the hatchery infrastructure and maintain the IPDES permitting. Due to the rural location of the hatchery, emergencies requiring the Contractor’s in person response would be items of grave danger to the property and/or fish stock (example: loss of water, break ins, theft of fish, etc.).
SPECIFICATIONS
These specifications are the minimum mandatory specifications that your Bid must meet for the State to consider your Bid for award.
6.1 Contractor must provide a properly trained Fish Culturist must be responsible for raising and maintaining rainbow trout fish populations at the hatchery.
6.2 The Fish Culturist must be responsible for controlling the environment such as adjusting water flows, cleaning rearing units, and creating feeding schedules to optimize growth and survival rates.

6.6.2 Variety of egg strain is of the Riverence Rainbow Trout type.

6.10 Contractor must provide all fish health support related supplies.
6.11 Contractor must provide all fish husbandry tools related to raising rainbow trout.
6.12 IDFG will haul all fish from the station. Contractor must provide a staff member to assist with loading IDFG fish hauling trucks to ensure the correct fish population is loaded and to verify poundage.

6.2 Disease and Treatment

6.2.2 The stocking of fish from a rearing unit demonstrating epizootic level mortality at or above zero-point one percent per day (0.1%/day) for three (3) consecutive days must not occur.

Remember to submit an additional redacted version of the documents if you have identified trade secrets.
Upload all Required Bid Submission Items using Microsoft products such as Word and Excel. Do not submit items in .pdf format, unless provided otherwise in this ITB.
