(vi) Description of Requirements – The Department of Health and Human Services/Program Support Center on behalf of U.S. ARMY, has a requirement to procure Curtiss Wright BSP software. This is a brand name requirement for Curtis Wright board support package (BSP) software for PEO Missiles and Space. A Brand Name is required since Curtis Wright board support package (BSP) software is used to install and execute tactical software just as it is implemented on actual tactical hardware being emulated as part of this task. Tactical software will not execute on any other vendor’s single board computer since it does not operate with tactical hardware emulation that is being developed under this task. Curtis Wright single board computers and associated software exactly represents what is used on live tactical military systems. There are no other alternatives. There is not another hardware product that will execute actual tactical binaries other than the same single board computers used in the tactical systems. To execute real / live unmodified tactical software requires both the tactical hardware or software emulations as well as the tactical unmodified tactical software.
