About this file
This is an amendment to a federal contract opportunity for PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) analytical testing services under Notice ID 75N94026Q00056, issued by a federal agency on June 17, 2026. The amendment clarifies key requirements and modifies terms in response to five questions from potential offerors.
The primary service requirement is performing targeted assays to detect and measure PFAS compounds specified in "Supplemental Table 1. PFAS required in targeted assay" contained in the updated Statement of Work. Offerors must demonstrate capability to perform all listed targeted assays; partial capability is not acceptable. The acquisition is for a commercial item or service conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold (currently $250,000). The opportunity is being competed as a full and open opportunity, not sole source. The updated proposal due date is 4:00 PM EDT on Monday, July 6, 2026. The government did not specify a capped budget amount in response to the $350,000 question, instead referencing the simplified acquisition threshold limitation.

DATE: JUNE 17, 2026
THIS AMENDMENT IS BEING POSTED IN RESPOSNE TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED
REGARDING NOTICE ID 75N94026Q00056.
GOVERNMENT RESPONSES PROVIDED IN BLUE
1. If our panel cannot detect all 66 components, can we still bid on this RFP? Or is it an all or nothing bid?
Offerors must demonstrate capability of performing all targeted assays listed in
“Supplemental Table 1. PFAS required in targeted assay.” (Located in the updated
Statement of Work made as an attachment to Notice ID 75N94026Q00056)
2. Has there been a decision that this will not be a sole source?
This is now being competed as a full and open opportunity.
3. Does the Government have a list of compounds that they want measured? We do not see the specific PFAS compounds listed in the original sole source posting.
Please see the updated Statement of Work provided as an attachment to Notice ID
75N94026Q00056
4. We would like to know the allowed upper budget. Is this capped to $350,000 total?

Part 12—Acquisition of Commercial Items, and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold.”
