About this file
This document is a Justification for Award of a sole source contract. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is purchasing a Globus High Assurance Subscription renewal from the University of Chicago for $XXX for the period of 08/01/2024 to 07/31/2025. Globus software is the industry standard for large file transfers and is required by NCI to collaborate with internal and external research partners. Based on market research, Globus is proprietary software only available from the University of Chicago, with no other compatible products on the market. A SAM.gov notice was posted but did not generate any other responses. The Contracting Officer has determined the pricing to be fair and reasonable based on an Independent Government Estimate. NCI anticipates their requirements will be met through this sole source purchase order, but will conduct additional market research if further Globus licenses are needed in the future.
