About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 26Q00118, addressing inquiries regarding an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position in an Emergency Department setting.

The requirement is for a single 1.0 FTE position to provide emergency department coverage, including medical leave coverage for three months and PRN shifts. The incumbent contractor is NativeArc, LLC (Contract No. 75H71024P00056). Shift times typically range from 7-5 PM, 8-6 PM, 12-10 PM, and 2-midnight, with standard 10-hour shifts. Schedule options include 7 on/7 off rotations and PRN coverage as needed. APPs will be assigned to the fast track or SuperTrack area that treats ESI 3 patients, with an emergency physician always present in the main ED. The facility experiences approximately 40,000 annual ER visits (including fast track) and expects APP providers to see 20-30 patients per 10-hour shift. Current staffing need focuses primarily on later shifts, with approximately 7 shifts requested every two weeks, though this may vary based on operational needs. The ideal total provider coverage is approximately 98 hours per day. ATLS certification is required as the facility is a level IV trauma center where APPs manage trauma cases. The facility maintains 24/7 OB coverage. Background check reciprocity from other IHS facilities is accepted, though each provider must be reviewed by the NNMC Pre-Security Representative team before clearance determination. Key personnel will not be interviewed as part of the evaluation process, and offerors may submit fewer candidate resumes than the solicitation scope allows.
