The purpose of this Activity is to create a resilient environment and more economic sustainability through increased awareness and demand for climate solutions, and policies that support climate change mitigation and adaptation. It will focus on behavior change, raise awareness, and influence government, citizens, and the private sector to take action to mitigate climate change and adapt to its impact. The activity will identify ways that allow the public and private sectors to contribute jointly to climate change mitigation and adaptation results, and to help communities adapt to and prepare for climate impacts while growing in a more sustainable and equitable way. The new activity will mobilize the private sector to advocate for and lead in combating the effects of climate change by establishing principles of climate smart interventions that create synergies and tradeoffs between adaptation and mitigation.1
