About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a forklift supply solicitation addressing seven clarifications regarding the Kalmar DCG160-12 Diesel Pneumatic Forklift acquisition.

The Government requires all offered equipment to be new, with used or refurbished units explicitly excluded from consideration for award, as confirmed in responses to questions 1 and 7. Regarding load capacity specifications, the forklift must have a minimum capacity of at least 16,000 pounds, with the understanding that pound-to-kilogram conversions are approximate. The Government will accept an enclosed cab with rear-view mirrors as an alternative to an open overhead guard. The minimum mast lift height requirement is 200 inches (5 meters). The applicable NAICS classification for this supply acquisition is 423830 (Industrial Machinery and Equipment Merchant Wholesalers), with a small-business size standard of 100 employees. Delivery is scheduled for Yerba Buena Island, an access-controlled government facility requiring pre-announcement and valid federal-issued identification (such as federal-issued ID or Real ID) for all delivery personnel, with more detailed access requirements to be provided upon award.
