Generac does not manufacture the RXS 150 amps non-service rated entrance. Can we use the RXS200 amps non-service rated entrance for all installations?

2A: The 100-amp ATS will replace the 150-amp ATS for configuration style B1. The 200-amp ATS will remain the basis of design for Styles A1, A2, C1, and S1.

2A1 – Specification Section 26 36 23, 2.1.2 Basis of Design shall read as follows:

(1) Generac RXS Non Service Rated Entrance Transfer Switch 120/240V, single-phase, 200-amperes.

Applies to Configuration Style A1, A2, C1, S1 and Wiring Details I, III and IV.

(2) Generac RXS Non Service Rated Entrance Transfer Switch, 120/240V, single phase, 100-amperes.

Applies to Configuration Style B1 and Wiring Details II.

3Q: Do you require consumables and spare parts for the Gensets, such as oil or air filters as part of the bid 3A: Bidders shall provide fully operational generators and tanks. Bid the Plans and Specs.

4Q: As a Safety measure, are you considering the installation of fence around the perimeter of the gas tanks?

4A: Fences were considered. Bid the Plans and Specs.

5Q: Do you consider the distance between the street and the gas tank location for refueling? Service truck hoses usually measure up to 100 ft. If the distance is longer there is no way to refill the tanks.

5A: Distance for refueling was considered and determined no more than 100 ft. Bid the Plans and Specs.

6Q: Do we have to leave gas tanks filled up with propane?

6A: Yes, we have it in Specification section 26 32 13, at 3.2.6, that we get a onetime fill, post construction.

7Q: Given the aggressive schedule proposed for this project, can you consider to improve the submittal evaluation time from 10 working days to less time? Gensets have a minimum or 4 weeks lead time and at least 2-3 weeks for shipping. Gas tanks have a lead time of up to 10 weeks and at least 2-3 weeks for shipping.

7A: Due to limited resources, the maximum # of days allowed for submittal reviews will not be reduced. Long lead items have been duly noted and the Construction Project Manager has the authority to respond quicker than the 10 working days, if his capacity allows.
