About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for repair services on the USCGC MUNRO (WMSL 623), a United States Coast Guard vessel.
The contractor is required to repair the Galley Roller Door located in GALLEY 1-57-2-Q aboard the USCGC MUNRO by providing and installing a new barrel for the existing Cookson galley counter roller door (Job #1901486), which has approximate opening dimensions of 160 inches wide by 40 inches tall. The door's barrel was found to be faulty after it abruptly closed without interaction, producing a shearing metal sound. Prior to commencing work, the contractor must witness Coast Guard personnel perform an initial operational test and document the as-found condition in an initial Condition Finding Report (CFR). The contractor must then provide and install a suitable new barrel, after which they must conduct a final operational test in the presence of the Coast Guard Inspector to verify the door opens and closes smoothly in a controlled manner without abnormal noises or binding. The contractor must submit a final CFR documenting the as-left condition and successful test results. All work must comply with SFLC Standard Specification 0000 regarding vessel component protection and interference handling, coordinate with ongoing galley operations to avoid disruptions, and allow Coast Guard personnel to operate all shipboard machinery. The work is scheduled to be performed at USCG Base Alameda, 1 Eagle Road, Alameda, California 94501, during the period of June 8–12, 2026. The technical point of contact is LTJG Justin Waters at USCG-SFLC-LREPL.
