About this file
This document contains a request for clarification form and responses to questions from offerors on solicitation number 70Z085-19-Q-P45C6200 from the United States Coast Guard. Offerors were asked to submit questions on the attached form by July 15, 2019 concerning the upgrade of propulsion control systems on 140-foot cutters. One question was submitted regarding CLIN0005AB for shipping costs and was confirmed to refer to hardware for the proposed system upgrade as described in line items 3.9.1.1 and 3.9.1.2 of the specification, and not replacement parts after the upgrade is complete. Offerors were advised the Coast Guard is requesting a one year warranty on the upgrade elsewhere in the solicitation documents.

TITLE:
QUESTION: CLIN0005AB – Is this CLIN referring to only the shipping cost of the hardware referenced in Item 3.9.1.2 of the specification?
RESPONSE:
Yes, but hardware referenced in line item 3.9.1.2 is the same as the hardware referenced in line item 3.9.1.1. Please note that all of 3.9.1 is referring to hardware which needs to be installed for the proposed system upgrade. This is not referring to hardware ordered after the fact as replacements or repairs once an upgrade is completed, for which the Coast Guard is requesting a 1 year warranty elsewhere in these documents.
