About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to federal contract opportunity 70Z08024QPBPL0004 for repairs to USCGC ROLLIN FRITCH. The Coast Guard will not provide a crane for use on site and there is limited pier space for contractors to perform cleaning or storage due to concurrent installation of a travel lift system. Contractors must bring any needed cranes or supply their own storage containers, while the Coast Guard will store government furnished equipment and work with contractors to accommodate equipment and provide a designated work area as close to the cutter and pier as possible given dimensional constraints.

Contractor Questions/ Answers USCGC ROLLIN FRITCH 70Z08024QPBPL0004

1. Do you have a crane on-site to use or do we need to bring in one? The CG does not have a crane to provide.

1. If we do, are there size limitations? Please attached documents for pier layout and maximum loading for CG Pier.

1. Will there be place close by or on-site to perform cleaning of parts/components? The pier space will be limited as there is a travel life system being installed during the same timeframe. The CG will work with Ktr to accommodate usage and provide a work area as close as possible to Cutter/Pier. CG can better determine an area pending dimensions on Ktr equipment (trailer, container, etc).

1. Will there be a place to store parts and supplies until they are needed onboard or do we need to supply a container? CG will have storage for GFE, but Ktr will need to provide storage for Ktr supplied parts/supplies.
