About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding Amendment 0001 to a solicitation for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for insulation repairs on US Coast Guard vessels WMEC 210 and 270. The solicitation requests pricing for insulation material listed in Table 1 of Work Item 1 for piping insulation renewal, with corresponding subCLINs in Schedule B. Pricing does not need to be provided for polyimide foam conforming to military specifications. Questions regarding the level of proposal detail required and how to add pricing for a superseded material are answered by confirming offerors should follow the submission instructions in the solicitation and that additional pricing is not needed for the specified superseded material.

USCGC 210 & 270 VESSELS, IDIQ For Insulation Repairs

AMENDMENT 0001

Response to Questions/Requests for Clarification:

1. Question: Are we required to do a formal proposal (Technical/Past Performance/Pricing Sheet)?, nowhere in the solicitation it says formal only to have it on hand to show we have done it before. Or since we are a listed vendor had the previous IDIQ do, we only submit a pricing sheet.

Answer: The submission of offerors is located on page 19 of the solicitation.

2. Question: Attachment 2 (Technical Specifications) Table 4‐2 pages 15‐16 talk about Polyimide Foam being able to be used as superseded material but there is no ELIN on the pricing sheet to identify that. Where would you like for us to add it?

Answer: Pricing does not need to be provided for polyimide foam (conforming to DOD‐I‐24688/MIL‐

DTL‐24688). I believe the question refers to Table 4‐1, not 4‐2, in work item 1 (Piping Insulation Renewal), Paragraph 4.2. The offeror only needs to provide pricing for the insulation material listed in Table 1 (Paragraph

3.2.3) of that work item, which have corresponding sub‐CLIN’s in the Sched B. Table 4‐1 is “for information only” and provides a list of insulation specifications that have been superseded within ASTM F 683‐14. If the offeror is referring to panel‐type insulation for bulkheads/overheads, those materials are shown in Work Item
