About this file

This sources sought notice seeks information from potential vendors for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts to support MTU 8V396 marine diesel engines used on 87-foot Coast Guard waterway patrol boats. The Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center requires OEM parts from MTU, the engine manufacturer, including generators, pistons, plates, couplings, washers, and circuit cards. Vendors must have experience supplying approximately 18,000 OEM parts and the ability to deliver parts in a service-ready condition, with assembly, cleaning, priming and packaging services as needed. Responses were due by June 15, 2021 and should include company information and an intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor for a planned firm-fixed-price contract to fulfill this one-time buy requirement under NAICS 333318. Only OEM or reconditioned parts will be accepted.
