About this file
This statement of work outlines lead dust abatement services required at a housing unit on a U.S. Coast Guard base in Kodiak, Alaska. The contractor will clean and retest eight window troughs and two floor areas that previously tested positive for lead dust, with the goal of obtaining clearance levels below EPA standards. Testing must be done in accordance with EPA protocols. If areas do not meet standards after initial cleaning, the contractor must reclean and retest until acceptable results are achieved. All work must be completed within 30 days of receiving the notice to proceed. The contractor must provide credentials and analytical test results documenting acceptable lead levels following completion. Unsatisfactory performance may result in rework at no cost to the government.
