The inspection is scheduled to begin on or about October 12, 2026. The Coast Guard Yard will prepare the vessel by removing hull coatings prior to the inspector's arrival and will provide a manlift to access rivets that cannot be inspected from ground level.

This procurement is being conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) as a simplified acquisition under FAR 13 for a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. Quotations must be submitted via email to Shellby.M.Hammond@uscg.mil with solicitation number 2126406Y6176J96011 in the subject line no later than September 18, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Award will be made on a best value basis, with evaluation criteria prioritizing technical compliance, ability to meet deadlines, and price. Payment will be made within 30 days of government purchase order issuance, with the vendor responsible for financing until acceptance and receipt by the Coast Guard. Past performance will be reviewed only for responsibility determination purposes.

CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A QUALIFIED RIVET INSPECTOR THAT HAS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH RIVETS TO INPECT 1000 HULL RIVETS FOR DEFECTIVE RIVETS, LOOSE RIVETS, RIVETS WITH CRACKED HEADS AND COUNTERSUNK RIVETS WITH HEADS BELOW PLATE SURFACE. CGC EAGLES HULL LOCATED AT COAST GUARD YARD 2401 HAWKINS POINT BALTIMORE, MD 21226. THE HULL COATINGS WILL BE REMOVED BY COAST GUARD YARD PRIOR TO RIVET INSPECTORS’ ARRIVAL. THE COAST GUARD YARD WILL PROVIDE A MANLIFT TO REACH THE RIVETS THAT CANNOT BE INSEPECTED FROM THE GROUND. THE INSPECTON IS REQUIRED TO START ON OR ABOUT OCTOBER 12TH 2026.
