About this file
This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the U.S. Coast Guard. It is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the overhaul, repair, and replacement of Bauer SCBA compressors, both diesel and electric powered, identified by specific NSNs and part numbers. The government anticipates making a sole source award to Bauer Compressors Inc. or their authorized distributor, as the OEM technical and engineering data is required to successfully fulfill this requirement.
The RFQ outlines the statement of work, including inspection, repair, and testing requirements to restore the compressors to "A-1" condition. It specifies mandatory replacement parts, delivery timeframe, packaging and marking requirements, and pricing not to exceed two-thirds of the original compressor cost. Quotes are due by 16 May 2024 and award will be made to the lowest priced offeror. This is an unrestricted solicitation under NAICS code 336611.
