SF-30 70Z04022Q55800B00 A00002 cont’d
The description of SF-30 is continued below:
Q1: Item P-10532 is the original part number for the Torsional Input Coupling for the
MG5114Sc marine transmission. Twin Disc has completed a part numbering change, making the original P-10532 superseded and replaced by P-10532A.
The change now dictates that the original P-10532 has ABS certification requirements, where the
P-10532A does not have the ABS certification requirement. To continue to utilize the P-10532 part number would add the significant expense of the ABS certifications, which I understand to be not required for the fleet of boats running these transmissions.
Can you advise whether quoting P-10532A as a replacement for P-10532 would be acceptable?
A1: After conferring with a representative at Twin Disc, the following has been determined: An official engineering change will be made to reflect that the Torsional Input Coupling, part number P-10532, for reduction gear model MG5114Sc, will be replaced by part number P-
10532A for all BOM’s including S-19440 and S103278. This removes the ABS certification which is not required for reduction gear model MG5114Sc. Vendors, therefore, will only provide quotes for P-10532A, NOT P-10532 as previously indicated. This change is reflected in the revised Attachment 1 – Schedule Rev. 2-11-2022, as well as in Attachment 2
– Twin Disc Specification Rev. 2-11-2022.
