QUESTION 1:
D-021 - Interior Hull Insulation, Inspect has a requirement to replace approximately 48 square feet of CFM insulation in engine compartment. DWG # 45RB-M 635-002 gives us material to be used but the problem is the manufacturer requires a minimum order of 73,000 square feet.
Can we use alternative product, fit, form, function?
APM Response: Can’t change the specification.
QUESTION 2:
D-001 - General Welding:
Do you have pictures available of the cracking on the peak for both sides?
Is the crack at the survivor’s compartment on the hatch itself or on the frame? Picture?
How long is the "incomplete" weld at the forward port peak?
APM Response:
1. See pictures
QUESTION 3:
D-005 - Fender System Renew:
Should we include cost of removal and installation of the fenders on this Work Item, or include it on D- 004?
Can we assume that if the fender section is not listed on the table, we will be reinstalling the existing section of fender?
There is a GFM repair kit listed on the table. Can we assume there will be minimal amount of repairs required on the remaining fenders?
APM Respone:
1. Don’t bid twice between D-004 and D-005. All fenders will be removed for inspection and fenders identified to be renewed will be installed after inspection is completed.
2. There is no fender identified for repair at this time. Submit CFR if there are fenders required repair during the availability.
END OF AMENDMENT A00001
